For proper session of tan application, you can choose to wear a swimsuit or undergarments. Though the solution may be sprayed on the clothes you will wear, it does not stain them. Some clients prefer to go for application while topless to avoid tan lines. It is important to wear loose clothing so that the skin does not rub on the clothes until the tan has totally been absorbed into the skin. Sandals or flip flops should be the ideal shoes after application to avoid sock lines.

It is advisable to avoid showering or bathing for at least the first four hours after tan application because moisture and water do not mix well with bronze solution. Shower gels and soaps should also be avoided during this time to not remove the tan. One should wait for at least eight hours after application to ensure the solution has been absorbed and reacted well with the skin amino acids for full color creation.

The required application usually lasts up to seven days. It is mainly dependent on the skin type and if precautions were followed to the letter. You can remove it through having a hot shower or bath. Reapplication can be done once one deems it necessary.

Air brush spray tanning is not advisable for patients with conditions such as cuts, eczema abrasions and psoriasis. Women who are pregnant during the first months should avoid this procedure since it entails melanin change. The professional should not inhale the particles blowing in the air for they result to irritation when repeatedly inhaled.
