Being good at oral and written communication is very important because one must communicate to clients to understand what they need.

Having creative and practical skills is more valuable than possessing academic qualifications. One does not need to possess a degree for them to gain entry into the field. However, many people are getting degrees before they enter the field due to the move towards formalization of entrance. One can find a qualification course to do in most universities. Some of the courses one may take to qualify include prosthetics for performance, fashion, media make-up, theatrical, character design, and special effects.

Having certain skills make the job easier for specialists. One must be able to promote themselves and possess multiple skills. Work is done for several hours, most of which are very unsocial.
