Today, the demand for body cosmetics has grown at an alarming level, with producers shifting into overdrive in a bid to outdo each other. This has driven up the risk of infusing harmful ingredients that may be detrimental to skin health. Powdery ingredients are first combined in differing proportions and then added to an oil based substrate for dispersal. This vitamin is very important in the early development of bone structures and teeth. In industrial applications, special lamp ultraviolet lamp platforms have been used to kill bacteria in food packing processes.

All tanned people run the risk of radically dehydrating their skin. It is for this reason that a producer will add moisturizing agents to his Body Tanning Lotion. Hemp seed oil and glycerin are some of the popular moisturizers, with their use depending on the skin type of the consumer. As compared to hand lotions, a Body Tanning Lotion will have a lower concentration of alcoholic ingredients.

Bronzing elements such as dihydroxyacetone are another popular inclusion in a Body Tanning Lotion to achieve faster results. Caramel and riboflavin are some naturally occurring bronzers though they are temporary and come off when washed with soapy water. The popular darkening beds are made of acrylic materials and some chemicals in Body Tanning Lotion varieties may damage their surfaces. Advances in technology have also allowed introduction of chemicals that trigger release of darker pigments by amino acids in the skin.
